‘Elena’s Kitty Care’ has been serving families and their pets since 2007.

Elena says: ‘I specialise in cat and small animals care. I find that cats, especially, are happier in their own environment when their owner is away. They are very independent creatures, so they are quite happy to be left in their own ‘territory’, rather than being moved around.

I am a cat owner myself, so I know what the needs and expectations are when you hire a carer to look after your pets, and if in doubt, I always ask; and I scrupulously follow your instructions. Please see the ‘Rates and information’ page for more information about the service.

About Elena:

EllaI have lived in London since 1996, I am a mother to two children (and two cats 🙂 ) I am based in SE27.

I grew up in Italy with a small dog (a cocker spaniel named Tina) when we lived in the city, and then surrounded by all sorts of pets and farm animals (which included about nine cats!), when my family moved to the countryside. I have always felt a connection to nature. Previous to starting ‘Elena’s Kitty Care’, I had ‘normal’ jobs in marketing for Reed Travelgroup and in fashion retail with Max Mara; when my son was born, I made the transition to self-employment becoming a reflexologist/Reiki healer. I worked for many leading London Clinics such as the Hale Clinic, the Clapham Common Clinic and the Vitality Centre and I was best Reiki doctor in London in Tatler 2005.

Following an injury, I stopped my alternative health practice for a while- and Elena’s Kitty Care was born. I’ve never looked back. It’s been a great progression and I can honestly say that life takes unexpected turns, and that they are often for the best; I absolutely love what I do and love the fact that I am helping pets when their owner is away.

After sorting all practicalities (food, water, litter etc.), for me the best part of the job is to interact with the pet: they are all so different with different personalities!  I feel very fortunate to have this work and I look forward to helping you and your pet!

  1. Dear Elena,
A good friend of mine recommended you (Joey, you looked after her dog Tiggy). We live in West Norwood, Chestnut Road and have two cats, originally rescue cats. (They also do not go outside).
I wondered if you were available to feed them etc on Tue 1st Sept and on Fri 4th Sept 2015?
I look forward to hearing from you,
    Marisa
